Lab: Taking the claims tool through Harbourline's gates

15 min read·13 Oct 2026
Module 6 · Lab · About 60 minutes · Needs: lessons 1, 2 and 3 of this module (tokens and roles, service accounts and secrets, egress and the change board, the directory)

What you are building

RELEASE 0.4.1, ONE GATE, FIVE CHECKS sign-in keys, roles service acct rotated egress approved list smoke test whole path directory leavers CHECKS five entries CHG-0421 ready for CAB, saved NOT READY names the failed check
The gate runs five integration checks (blue) into one scoreboard; only when all pass is CHG-0421 written as ready (green), otherwise it names the failure (red).

Module 6 adds single sign-on, roles mapped to the claims team, service accounts, and a release through Harbourline's change process. The lessons built each piece on its own. This lab joins them into one release gate: a script that runs every integration check, then writes the change request only if all of them pass. It is Monday 11 May 2026, week 9. Release 0.4.1 of claims-api adds Tom's weekly approval sample (Module 9, Lesson 3) for the three pilot clerks; the pilot stays at three clerks until release 1.0.0 on 2 June. The change board meets tomorrow. The running example is Dev Mistry asking about HF-88301, Atlas Office Furniture's late delivery, 3 working days late with a £42.00 credit. Everything at Harbourline is simulated.
