The situation

Monday 5 October 2026, week 5. Nare says one answer took "ages" this morning, and nobody can say where the time went. Priya wants to import six papers as six notes in one job that survives a dropped connection and never creates a note twice.

You trace Nare's question, "How many participants will the nap study have?", through host and server. Then you run Priya's import, crash it and resume it.

MONDAY 5 OCTOBER, WEEK 5 notes server in production Nare: one answer took ages. Where? Priya: import 6 papers survive a dropped line needs a trace needs a checkpoint
Two problems arrive on the same day: a slow answer with no explanation (red, a failure) and a six-paper import (blue, the normal path) that must survive an interruption.
