Module 6 · Lesson 3 · About 50 minutes · Needs: Lesson 1 of this module (the host, notes_host.py); Module 3 Lesson 2 (tool names and annotations)

The situation

Thursday 24 September 2026, week 3. The host from Lesson 1 talks to the notes server. Today Tomas connects his equipment calendar as a second server, so Nare can ask "How many participants will the nap study have, and which days is the sleep lab booked?" and get both answers in one reply.

Tomas never read the notes server's code, and named his tool for searching booking notes search_notes. Inside his server that is sensible; inside one host, next to Nare's search_notes, it is a collision. This lesson traces Nare's question through two servers, then seven.

Nare's question participants and lab days the host one tool list notes server search_notes create_note calendar server search_notes list_bookings book_slot cancel_booking
The running example on 24 September: one question, one host (blue), two servers, and one tool name both servers use (red: a collision).
