The situation
It is Tuesday 16 June 2026, week 10, the day after limited live. The support inbox runs the agent inside the web request: Priya's page waits until the run ends. Twice this morning the page gave up first, and nobody knew whether Aisha's return for order 5521 existed.
Dev adds that workers are redeployed twice a day, killing whatever runs, and R-1001's $129.00 refund can wait days for Marta. This lesson moves the agent into a job: work that is stored, picked up by a worker, and finished even if a worker dies halfway.
