Module 0: Quick Win
1 min read·13 Oct 2026
What you need first
- A Google account (for Colab).
- A free key from Groq or Google Gemini. Lesson 1 shows how to get one.
- No coding experience. Every line of code is explained.
What you will build
BrightCart's assistant answers its first customer question, Aisha's message about her robot vacuum, from BrightCart's real policies. Then you watch it invent an answer about her order, which is the problem the rest of the course solves.
Lessons
| File | Title | Minutes | Depth tags |
|---|---|---|---|
01-your-first-llm-call.md | Lesson 1: Your first model call, and what it cannot know | 20 | Essential, Recommended |
This module is short on purpose: it has one lesson and no lab or incident file. The lesson's real case is Cursor's AI support bot, which described a policy that did not exist (The Register, April 2025).
Where next
- New to programming or to Python: go to Module 1: Programming Foundations.
- Comfortable with Python: Module 1 is still where the assistant's API client is built; skim what you know.
- Setup details and troubleshooting for all three providers are in
course-guide/02-setup-colab-and-llm-providers.md.
