Module 2: The solution: an MCP server with permission-aware retrieval

About 40 minutes · Needs: Module 1 (the problem) · Code: server/wayfinder/mcp/server.py, server/wayfinder/search.py, server/wayfinder/mcp/models.py, server/wayfinder/main.py, research/claude-code-livetest.md
Where this fits
This module (highlighted) follows one question from the AI clients, whose model (amber) writes the answer, through the MCP layer to the permission-filtered search in PostgreSQL and back.
Module 1 showed the problem: the knowledge exists, the assistant cannot see it, and a naive connection sees too much. This module gives the whole solution in one pass, from the question in Claude Code to the cited answer, before later modules open each box. If you read only one overview, read this one.
