Module 2 · Lesson 2 · About 35 minutes · Needs: Module 1 and Lesson 1 of this module (numbers and arithmetic)

The situation

Amira holds up Ben's loan line, L13,B20,Ben,21,, and asks three questions. What is the book called? Is it overdue? When did it come back?

The first answer is text: The War of the Worlds. The second is a yes or no. The third is awkward: the book has not come back, so the line simply ends after the comma.

Lesson 1 gave you numbers. This lesson gives you the three other kinds of value Amira needs, text, yes-or-no and "nothing yet", and shows you how to ask Python a question such as "is today after the due day?".

LOAN LINE L13,B20,BEN,21, Called what? The War of the Worlds text Overdue? yes yes or no Back when? nothing yet no value
Amira's three questions about Ben's loan need three kinds of answer: some text, a yes or no, and "nothing yet".
