Lesson 1: Strings up close, one character at a time

Module 3 · Lesson 1 · About 40 minutes · Needs: Module 2 (text values,type(),str(),in, and the escape characters\nand\t)
The situation
Amira hands you Tom's notebook: twelve loans he typed up from paper before the spreadsheet began on 14 September. "Can you read it?" she asks. Five lines are wrong somehow, and nobody knows which.
To Python each line is a string: a row of characters. This lesson looks at that row closely, using line 5:
03/09/2026 - Frankenstien - Ben - back 10/09/2026
By the end you can pull the dates out of it and fix the misspelt title.
