Part 68 · Module 10: Design Patterns and Agents

Topic 1: Module 10 at a glance, and the setup

12 min read·22 Sept 2026

By the end of this module, you'll have:

  • Measured a thin, one-tool-per-endpoint API wrapper against the task-shaped notes server on the same five questions, and seen exactly where the extra calls and tokens come from.
  • Built an aggregator (proxy) server that fronts the notes server and a lab calendar server behind one connection, plus a retrieval server that returns passages with resource links.
  • Run three agentic patterns for real: one agent with many servers, an orchestrator with concurrent workers sharing the same servers, and an agent exposed as an MCP tool called ask_notes.
